The Godex GE330 is a very simple yet reliable Thermal Transfer printer for barcode labels. With a resolution of 300 DPI, standard Ethernet connection and very favorable pricing, the Godex GE330 is a complete TT barcode label printer in the budget segment.
The Godex GE330 is the successor of the Godex G330 label printer and falls under the Godex G series. The G series consists of 4 models, of which the 2 GE3 models are the budget variants. These GE3 label printers are available as a 203 DPI label printer (the Godex GE300) and this Godex GE330 which is a 300 DPI barcode label printer. In addition, a more robust and industrial model of both is available. These models are the G500 for 203 DPI and the G530 for 300 DPI.
The Godex GE330 is a barcode label printer with a print resolution of 300 DPI. Due to the 300 DPI resolution, this thermal printer is very suitable for printing varcodes and relatively small text. The Godex GE330 is therefore widely used as a jewelery label printer. Business labels offer additional low-cost starter packages specifically for that application, see the Jeweler label starter kits. As a successor to the Godex G330, the GE330 contains a number of improvements. The most noticeable is the addition of the movable sensor.
If the label printer is mainly used for more simple labels, it may be wise to opt for a cheaper 203 DPI printer, the Godex GE300. Despite the very low pricing, the Godex GE330 meets the high quality that can be expected from Godex. This model is also equipped with an Ethernet connection as standard.
The Godex GE330 can be used as a Thermal Direct and as a Thermal Transfer label printer using a Transfer ribbon (TT ribbons). The Godex GE330 uses TT ribbons with a core diameter of 0.5 inch (12.7 mm) and a maximum length of 110 meters, however these ribbons are usually available as standard in a length of 74 meters (on average sufficient for 1 label roll ).
Godex proves with a standard 3-year warranty that the label printers are of high quality. The 6-month printhead warranty does not change this and is related to usage variations that can greatly affect the printhead life. Using Godex label printers has been made easier by the free but very powerful label designer software GoLabel.
The Godex GE330 can function as a Thermal Direct and as a Thermal Transfer label printer. The maximum width of the printer media rolls is 118 mm.
