The number of commercial beer breweries has increased significantly in recent years. The beers that these breweries brew are not only available at specialty shops or catering establishments, the large supermarket chains also make room on the shelves for regional beers.
Of course, the fact that there are more commercial breweries does not mean that they are all Heineken sized, in fact, most are relatively “small” in volume but “big” in specialty beer brewing. Especially for starting and (deliberately) smaller commercial beer breweries, Businesslabels has developed an extensive package of materials and put together starter sets.
The “Budget starter set beer labels universal” has been put together to be suitable for several beer bottle sizes. The supplied label rolls contain labels in a format of 76 x 127 mm, a very versatile label format that can be used for almost any beer bottle up to 50 cl. can be used, standing it is even suitable for 75 cl. bottles. The label is used horizontally for the much used Longneck and Steinie bottles. With the 75 cl. bottles, this format is often used upright, often even with 2 labels per bottle, 1 at the front and 1 at the back. The label has rounded corners.
Reusing beer bottles is a well-known concept with beer bottles. From the largest commercial brewers to the hobby brewers at home, the beer bottles reuse as much as possible. In addition to cleaning the inside, the bottle must also be labelled with a new label after filling. Then it is important that the old label can be removed from the bottle easily and preferably without chemicals. With Diamondlabels specially developed glossy paper with water-sensitive glue, this can be done without any effort.
The material of Diamondlabels has been launched under the code “DIA600B” which stands for Diamondlabels Inkjet A-grade. This material is not only equipped with a special glue but also with a high-quality inkjet coating which is suitable for the Epson ColorWorks label printers.
Printing labels in color with an inkjet printer, is that useful? Printing with an inkjet printer still gives the expectation that the ink will run out due to moisture. With the Epson ColorWorks printers, that’s a thing of the past.
The Epson ColorWorks inkjet color label printers are ideal for printing labels in color. The materials of Diamondlabels are also of very high quality. The combination of a good material such as the DIA600B from Diamondlabels with the Epson TM-C3500 make for fantastic labels. Although the printed labels on DIA600B can be rinsed well with lukewarm water, the label is moisture resistant. The label and the imprint therefore remain even in humid conditions such as with high-quality condensation.
Fixed format labels with rounded corners is the most common type of label for label printers. The labels have neatly rounded corners and the printer detects where the label starts and ends. With a little extra attention, a pre-cut label can be printed neatly from edge to edge, so white edges around the label are not necessary, but of course you can.
The label format 76 x 127 mm is a label format that can be used universally for beer bottles. The label format works well on both the classic Steinie and Longneck but can also be used standing up on various types of 75 cl. beer bottles. That is why this label format for the beer bottles is seen as the most universal format.
If you want to be able to print many labels of one kind, a rewinder is ideal. This device ensures that the printed labels are neatly rolled up after printing and you can just walk away. When the printer is ready, take the roll off the rewinder and you can start pasting the labels neatly on the bottles, what more do you want!
The included Epson TM-C3500 is an inkjet color label printer. This printer was originally developed for industrial use and is therefore extremely reliable. For a colour label printer, the Epson is a relatively affordable model despite a purchase value that is around € 1,300. In the market of color label printers, there is no other model that is reliable that falls into this price category. The comparison with an A4 printer is not possible in all respects, the price of this printer is many times higher because an industrial label printer requires completely different characteristics and techniques.
The big advantage of the Epson Colorworks printers that this Epson TM-C3500 falls under is the special pigment ink. This ink ensures a waterproof print that will not run out under any circumstances, provided that inkjet coated materials such as those of Diamondlabels are used. Even Acetone doesn’t do the ink. In addition, these ColorWorks color label printers are distinguished by their high reliability, low ink costs and the self-maintaining system.
