Zelf bezoekersbadges in kleur printen? Je hebt een geschikte printer met inkt, badgemateriaal, een badgeontwerp en software nodig die je bezoekersgegevens naar de printer stuurt. Richt daarnaast een werkplek in voor het printen, vouwen en uitgeven. Voor ExpoBadges adviseren wij de Epson ColorWorks CW-C4000e MK. Stem het materiaal af op wie de badge vouwt en hoelang die wordt gedragen.
Met die combinatie kun je bij aankomst een badge maken met de actuele naam, organisatie en bezoekersrol. Hieronder lees je welke keuzes je vooraf maakt en hoe je de hele ontvangst test.
1. Kies je printer en badgemateriaal
De Epson ColorWorks CW-C4000e MK is een kleurenlabelprinter die we voor deze badgeoplossing adviseren. Je gebruikt hem met geschikt ExpoBadge-materiaal. Zoek je juist een printer voor losse kunststof pasjes? Dat is een andere toepassing; in dit artikel gaat het om bezoekersbadges die je na het printen dubbelvouwt.
Begin bij je ontvangstproces. Dit zijn onze drie hoofdroutes:
T180 voor selfservice. De bezoeker vouwt de badge dubbel zonder een drager te verwijderen. T180 is lijmloos en kan daardoor iets bol staan. Houd in het ontwerp een witte rand aan.
260 voor een ontvangstteam. Een medewerker verwijdert de drager en vouwt de badge dicht. De lijmlaag hecht de twee helften aan elkaar. Dit materiaal is geschikt voor een randloos kleurontwerp, met de bijbehorende template en printerinstellingen.
260T voor meerdaagse evenementen. Deze variant met lijmlaag is scheurbestendiger dan de gewone 260 en past bij badges die langer worden gedragen.
Er zijn ook lagere S-varianten, kaartjes en uitvoeringen met vouchers. Kies die alleen als ze iets toevoegen aan je evenement. Bekijk het ExpoBadge-assortiment en stem formaat, template en draagwijze op elkaar af.
2. Laat ontwerp en software samenwerken
Je registratiesoftware of eigen applicatie moet de juiste bezoekersgegevens in het badgeontwerp plaatsen en een printopdracht kunnen sturen. Test die route met de computer, verbinding en printer die je gaat gebruiken. Een geschikt printermodel betekent niet dat iedere softwarekoppeling al werkt.
Geef de naam de meeste aandacht en houd de organisatie goed leesbaar. Gebruik bijvoorbeeld een kleurvlak om sprekers, medewerkers en bezoekers te onderscheiden. Zet de rol ook in tekst op de badge: kleur helpt bij herkenning, maar vervangt geen controle van toegangsrechten.
Gebruik de template voor jouw badgevariant. Bij een butterflybadge krijgt de uitgevouwen badge één bedrukte zijde; door het vouwen komen de bedoelde voor- en achterkant op hun plaats. Dat is geen automatische duplexfunctie van de printer. Controleer in de template de vouw, uitsparingen en afdrukrichting.
Wij hebben een digitale map met eigen handleidingen, printerinstellingen en ontwerptemplates. Gebruik de bestanden voor jouw combinatie en controleer of drivers en firmware actueel zijn. Voeg je een QR-code of barcode toe? Test die met de scanner én software van je evenement.
3. Bepaal hoe je de badges uitgeeft
Vooraf printen past bij gegevens die al compleet zijn. Zorg dat je de juiste badge bij aankomst snel terugvindt. Printen bij aankomst geeft ruimte voor nieuwe aanmeldingen en gewijzigde namen. Je kunt ook een deel voorbereiden en een printer beschikbaar houden voor wijzigingen.
Reserveer aan de balie ruimte voor computer, printer, materiaal en het vouwen en uitgeven. Stem ook af hoe bezoekers de badge dragen, bijvoorbeeld met een passend lanyard. Meet de hele handeling van aanmelden tot overhandigen: alleen de printsnelheid vertelt niet hoeveel bezoekers je per balie kunt helpen.
4. Begroot de complete oplossing
Neem printer, inkt, badgemateriaal, eventuele softwarekosten, draagaccessoires en het werk aan de balie mee. Houd materiaal beschikbaar voor proefafdrukken en herprints. Het inktverbruik hangt onder meer af van je ontwerp, formaat en printinstellingen; er is dus geen vast inktbedrag dat voor iedere badge geldt.
Bekijk de ExpoBadge-starterkits als startpunt. Controleer per kit welke onderdelen zijn inbegrepen en wat je voor jouw ontvangst nog nodig hebt.
5. Test de hele ontvangst vóór het evenement
Gebruik de echte opstelling. Print vanuit je registratieomgeving met de beoogde computer, verbinding, printer en badgevariant.
Probeer lastige gegevens. Controleer lange namen, lange organisatienamen en bijzondere tekens. Bekijk daarna de gevouwen badge op leesbaarheid.
Controleer eventuele codes. Scan een echte proefbadge en kijk of de juiste registratie wordt opgehaald.
Boots een druk moment na. Verwerk meerdere aanmeldingen achter elkaar, inclusief vouwen en uitgeven. Bepaal daarmee wat je balieopstelling aankan.
Oefen afwijkingen. Spreek af wat je doet bij een naamswijziging, herprint of onderbroken verbinding. Laat ook het ontvangstteam de werkwijze proberen.
6. Vergelijk de badges en bespreek je opstelling

DIA704H is a high quality matte PP inkjet label material for GHS labels, chemical labels and other applications where very strong and reliable adhesion is required. It combines a durable matte synthetic face material with an extremely strong high tack adhesive, making it particularly suitable for demanding industrial environments. The matte BOPP face stock is specially coated for printing with water based inkjet inks, providing sharp text, clearly readable barcodes and high quality full colour printing. This makes DIA704H an excellent choice for printing GHS labels and chemical labels in house, for example with Epson ColorWorks colour label printers. The reverse side of the BOPP film is also specially coated to improve the bond between the face material and the adhesive. One of the key characteristics of DIA704H is its powerful synthetic rubber based hot melt adhesive . The adhesive combines high initial tack with strong permanent adhesion, helping the label remain securely attached to surfaces and packaging where a standard permanent adhesive may not provide sufficient performance. Peel adhesion is specified at 18 ± 3 N/25 mm, while loop tack is 28 ± 3 N/25 mm. The combination of a durable PP face stock and extremely strong adhesive makes DIA704H particularly suitable for GHS labels, chemical packaging, industrial labels, drums, containers and other applications where long lasting adhesion is important . Its use is not limited to the chemical industry. DIA704H is also an excellent choice for general industrial applications where a durable synthetic label with particularly strong adhesion is required. DIA704H can be applied from +4 °C and has a service temperature range from −20 to +70 °C. The material specification also states compliance with BS5609 Section 3 .
The DIA715 is a white synthetic (PP) label material with a high-quality inkjet coating and a high-gloss finish A glossy PP in combination with an inkjet color label printer has the potential to produce the most beautiful labels such as product and retail labels. The high-gloss finish of the material ensures a very striking appearance, while the high-quality inkjet coating ensures fast drying and fine print results. The pictures will have bright colors and a barcode is always optimal printed so it can be easily be scanned by a barcode scanner. Remark: With high-speed inkjet printers such as the Epson TM-C7500G the speed of the printer can cause “windmarking”. If in doubt, always contact us for advice. The DIA725 is a PET variant and due to its various properties it is a good alternative for labels on (small) round surfaces such as bottles and test tubes
Glossy paper with very high quality inkjet coating with removable adhesive. The base paper DIA400 from Diamondlabels is the premium inkjet paper when it comes to fast drying and excellent quality prints in terms of resolution. Despite the good gloss value, the inkjet coating is open enough to absorb ink quickly and thus minimize bleeding (bleeding) of the ink. As a result, prints have a high color yield and brightness without sacrificing sharpness. Prints on DIA400 will therefore be of the highest possible quality. The DIA400R’s removable adhesive ensures trouble-free label removal without leaving any damage or visible traces. Ideal for temporary application of full-color labels, such as logistics application and temporary packaging labels. In addition, the DIA400R is widely used as a product label on the product itself, such as price labels on crockery. The DIA120gr is a 120 gram ticket paper with a high quality inkjet coating which is suitable for most ink types of inkjet label printers. For full-color printing of shelftags and pricecards, a 120gsm inkjet paper is the ideal middle ground firm yet thin and affordable ticket material. The DIA120gr is the 120 gram version of a range of ticket materials that runs from 70 to 240 grams of paper, feel free to ask for sample material.
Matte inkjet paper especially for applications with endless label rolls with easy to remove adhesive. Endless rolls are label rolls that consist of only one long label and are cut to any desired length with the printer’s cutter. For example, for one application multiple label formats can be printed with 1 printer and 1 roll without changes. This material is thinner than the other matte paper label materials we use. All this to extend the life of the printer’s blade and therefore make the solution more reliable in critical processes. This material is similar to the DIA010 only with a removable adhesive.
