How do I set up my printer for borderless printing?
Borderless printing requires specific settings and materials:

  • Use high-quality labels with consistent side margins.
  • Set the label size in the printer driver slightly larger than the actual size, so printing extends just beyond the edges.

How do I achieve optimal print quality with Epson ColorWorks printers?
For optimal print quality, we recommend the following:

  • Use only genuine Epson inks and recommended label media.
  • Set the correct media type (matte/glossy/synthetic) in the printer driver.
  • Perform regular nozzle checks and cleaning cycles when necessary.
  • Print labels regularly to prevent the print head from drying out.
  • Select the appropriate print quality and speed for the desired result.
  • Where possible, use the correct ICM profiles that have been created specifically for the print media and match the selected print quality.
Can I print barcodes and QR codes with Epson ColorWorks printers?

How do I quickly and easily switch between different label formats and materials?
When you regularly switch between label formats or materials, follow these simple steps:

  • Replace the label roll and load it correctly into the printer.
  • Adjust the label format and media type via the printer driver and save these as a media definition with a recognisable name.
  • If necessary, adjust the print position via the menu on the printer or via the printer settings on the PC. Before adjusting the print position based on the print result, it is advisable to first feed approximately 40 cm of print length through the printer so that the label has had sufficient time to centre itself in the printer.
This prevents issues such as error messages or poor print quality.

Can I connect Epson ColorWorks printers to a network?
Yes, Epson ColorWorks printers come with a standard Ethernet connection (wired network). This allows you to easily connect them within your company network. Optionally, a Wi-Fi connection is possible via a dedicated dongle (not available for the older models starting with TM-C).
Are Epson ColorWorks printers compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux?
Yes, Epson ColorWorks printers support all popular operating systems as standard:

  • Windows: fully supported with drivers for all recent versions.

  • NiceLabel and BarTender: powerful professional software for designing and printing labels with variable data.
  • Affinity Designer: simple and affordable design software for a wide range of applications.
  • Adobe Illustrator or similar design programs: for advanced designs. Export your design to PDF and print easily via the driver.
How do I set up my Epson ColorWorks printer for the first time?
Setting up an Epson ColorWorks printer is straightforward and can be done in a few steps:

  • Install the hardware: unpack, connect the printer, insert the ink cartridges, and load labels according to the included manual.
  • Install the software: download and install the latest printer drivers from the official Epson website (www.epson.sn).
