General information and explanation

The Epson ColorWorks TM-C3500 color label printer is the successor to the Epson ColorWorks TM-C3400 and the little brother of the Epson ColorWorks TM-C7500. Compared to many other inkjet label printers, the color label printers of Epson ColorWorks do not use dye-based inks, but so-called pigment inks. Epson’s pigment inks are important because they provide a higher color and thus a much lower consumption. In addition, the labels from the Epson ColorWorks label printers are waterproof due to this inkjet technology and in combination with the right plastic printing media (matt plastic) you can easily print the GHS labels that meet the BS5609 certification.

The Epson TM-C3500 is also marketed under the name “Lassie 2 plus” and the TM-C3400 as the “Lassie 2”.

The Epson TM-C3500 printer has undergone a number of important changes compared to the Epson TM-C3400. Perhaps the most noticeable and beneficial change is that the Epson TM-C3500 works with individual ink cartridges per color, where the TM-C3400 worked with 1 cartridge. As a result, you now only have to replace the color that has run out and you do not waste an unnecessary amount of ink.
