The Epson ColorWorks C7500 is Epson’s industrial inkjet label printer. With PrecisionCore inkjet technology for fast production & high resolution printouts of your color labels. Due to its speed and ESC label (ZPL compatible), this printer is easy to place where you now have your thermal printers. And then you can automatically add color to your current labels for more attention value.
The Epson ColorWorks C7500 is the standard version, sometimes this model is referred to as “non-G” or as “matte”. The reason for this is the fact that a 2nd version has been marketed under the type number Epson TM-C7500G.
The Epson ColorWorks C7500 without G is suitable for matte printer media such as labels and tickets. The ink is very resistant to various influences such as UV light, water and many chemicals, including Acetone. These so-called pigment inks make it possible, in combination with matte PE labels, to print labels that meet the BS5609 standard for GHS labeling. The inks have a high color yield and provide bright colors with a resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi.
However, the Epson ColorWorks C7500 is so fast (300mm per second) that ink only has a fraction of a second to be dry. Because glossy materials have a higher density, an ink has more difficulty in quickly drawing into the coating. As a result, the drying of these DURABrite ™ Ultra inks cannot be combined with speed and glossy media.
That is why the Epson ColorWorks TM-C7500G (* with G) has been introduced especially for glossy media. This printer is exactly the same as the “non-G” in terms of hardware. The only difference is the ink set used. The Ultrachrome® DL inks used in the Epson TM-C7500G provide even faster drying, making the Epson TM-C7500G suitable for glossy media. However, the color brightness of these inks is a fraction lower and this pigment ink is also less resistant to chemicals. However, the resistance to moisture and UV light is still good.
