The Godex G5 printers are distinguished by the extra sensors, the reflective sensor is movable and there are also 2 centered transmissive sensors. This makes the printer suitable for special applications with less standard and extra thick materials. For example, the Godex G5 printer is also used in some countries for printing license plates, partly due to the very flat feed-through, and a G500 is often combined with the Godex label stand for the use of large label rolls.The Godex G530 can be used as a Thermal Direct and as a Thermal Transfer barcode label printer using a Transfer ribbon (TT ribbons). The Godex G530 uses TT ribbons with a core diameter of 1 inch (25.4 mm) and a maximum length of 300 meters (on average sufficient for 4 label rolls).Godex proves with a standard 3-year warranty that the label printers are of high quality. The 6-month printhead warranty does not change this and is related to usage variations that can greatly affect the printhead life. Using Godex label printers has been made easier by the free but very powerful label designer software GoLabel.
